Aight Guys!! This month, FoodSaver® gave me free rein on anything I wanted to create! So no pressure here! I love the Preserve & Marinade Containers so much, I knew I had to incorporate them into my recipe! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Fresh Fish!! So this month, I decided to marinate and grill one of my favorite fish! So Fresh Tuna Steaks for the win! Using a simple yet delicious marinade paired with a Spicy Wasabi Sauce that will knock your socks off!!
First things first, let’s start by mixing up all the marinade ingredients until well combined. (I actually ended up doing 2 batches of marinade for this recipe). Once everything is mixed well, I poured 1 batch in the bottom of the Preserve & Marinade Container. Next I placed my Tuna Steaks in the Preserve & Marinade Container and poured the 2nd batch on top of the Tuna Steaks. Now for the awesome part! All you gotta do is let the FoodSaver® do its thing and in 12 minutes, you are done! 12 Minutes!! Absolutely Incredible!
After the 12 minute marinade, remove the Tuna Steaks from the marinade and pat dry. Season with a little salt and pepper and you are ready for the grill! Reserve the marinade to baste the Tuna while grilling.
I’ve got the grill set at around 550 degrees for this cook. It’s a really quick cook because you are only searing the Tuna Steaks for about 45 seconds per side. Spray your grates with some cooking oil so the Tuna doesn’t stick. While one side is searing, baste the Tuna with the leftover marinade and repeat when you flip the Tuna.
Once you pull it off the grill, I put it in the fridge for a couple minutes just to stop the cooking process. You want your Tuna rare in the middle. Nothing left to do now, but to slice it up and drizzle it with that Spicy Wasabi Sauce and toss on a few Sesame Seeds! (See Below for the Wasabi Sauce Recipe)
If you happen to have leftovers, the Small Preserve & Marinade Container is perfect for storing! Enjoy Guys!!
