Mongolian Beef!
This recipe is Sponsored by FoodSaver®, all opinions are my own.
Aight Guys!! Once again FoodSaver® has given me free rein to create whatever dish I want using their awesome products! So you know how I love their Preserve & Marinate Containers, so I knew I had to incorporate that somehow! I just started throwing things together and came up with my rendition of Mongolian Beef!

For this recipe, I chose to use Sirloin Steak because that is what my local grocery store had on sale at the time. You can use any cut of beef you would like. I sliced it about and ⅛” thick. Tip: If you stick your steak in the freezer for about 15 minutes, it will be way easier to slice. Now with the sliced up steak, I added a couple of sliced up sweet onions. Now you combine all the ingredients of the marinade together and mix well. See the full recipe and list of ingredients below. Nothing left to do now other than to pour the mixture into the Preserve & Marinate Container. As always it only takes 12, YES 12 minutes for the meat to get that amazing flavor!! Still blows my mind on how well it sucks the flavor into the meat in only 12 minutes!

After 12 minutes, I want to separate the steak and onions from the liquid because I want the meat and onions to caramelize and not steam or boil in the marinade. Time to get the grill fired up!

This is a cool little setup where I am able to place my Wok directly over the coals in my grill. I start off by bringing the cast iron up to temp at around 350 degrees. Give it a few minutes, squirt in a little avocado oil and throw in your meat and onions. I found that it is better to leave the lid open on the grill when doing this. When I closed the lid, a lot of liquid built up and that is not what you are wanting for this. So a hot fire is the key.

Once the beef and onions are caramelized to your liking, pull it off the grill and bring inside. Now you can do this a couple different ways. You can just serve it up on a bed of rice or if you are like me, I love Tacos! So why not a Mongolian Beef Taco? And let me tell ya, this was crazy good! The Preserve & Marinate Container definitely did its job with packing in that flavor!

When everyone is done stuffing their face with all of that goodness, leftovers are a cinch with the Foodsaver® Microwaveable Meal Prep Bags! Just fill the bag up with the leftovers….that is if you have any, vacuum seal it up and toss it in the fridge. Then all you have to do the next day is to toss it in the microwave, heat it up and dig in!
