Ingredients
-
1 yellow Bell Pepper Diced
-
1 Red Bell Pepper Diced
-
2 Medium Yellow Onions Diced
-
2 Ribeye Steaks
-
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
-
Lane’s BBQ SPG Seasoning
-
2 Tbsp The W Sauce
-
½ Cup of All Purpose Flour
-
1 Cup of Whole Milk
-
1 ½ Cups of a Mixture of Mozzarella and Provolone Cheese
-
1 Loaf of French Bread
Directions
Start by firing up your favorite charcoal grill to 325 degrees.
Get your steaks seasoned up with a little olive oil and Lane’s BBQ SPG.
Place steaks directly over the coals and sear them for about 2 minutes per side.
Remove steaks from the grill and put down a cast iron skillet directly over the coals to heat up.
To the cast iron skillet, add in some olive oil, your diced up veggies and season with Lane’s BBQ SPG.
Dice up your ribeye steaks into bite size pieces.
Once the veggies start to get soft and translucent, add in your diced up steak and The W Sauce and allow to cook 5-10 minutes.
Next add in your all purpose flour, mix well and allow to cook for a couple minutes.
Now add in your whole milk and allow to cook for a few minutes to a simmer to thicken up.
Remove cast iron pan from heat, bring inside and immediately add your cheese mixture in and mix until well combined.
Slice your French bread loaf in half length wise and scoop the middle of the bread out of top and bottom side.
Spoon the steak mixture you made up into both sides of the bread.
Top with more cheese and place on the indirect side of the grill until the cheese is melted and the bread is crunchy.
Place the 2 loaves on a wire rack to cool for a few minutes.
Slice Bread up into 1 ½” to 2” slices, serve up and enjoy!

Recipe Note
If your cheese doesn't get as brown as you would like, take a torch and toast the top of the cheese!
