My family and I absolutely love jalapeño poppers! We have tried quite the variety as well. I have tried anything from sweet to spicy to savory and they are all outstanding! I decided to mix it up a little today and do a little something different, so come along and I'll show you what we made!

Aight Guys!! We make jalapeño poppers for pretty much any occasion and sometimes must for no reason at all! This time we decided to add in a little seafood and boy am I glad we did! Just imagine a jalapeño popper stuffed with diced up shrimp and all that cheesy goodness, presented with a cajun shrimp on top with a drizzle of hot honey! Talk about a dance party in your mouth! Now come along and I'll show you how we made em!

Ingredients
Jalapeño Poppers
-
12 - Fresh Jalapeños sliced in half with the seeds and membranes removed.
-
4 - Oz of Softened Cream Cheese
-
¼ - Cup of Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
-
½ - Cup of Shredded Cheddar Cheese
-
1 - Lb of Medium Shrimp peeled and deveined
-
1 - Tbsp of Olive Oil
-
Cajun Seasoning (I Used The Cajun Two Step)
-
Melinda’s Hot Honey
Directions
Jalapeño Poppers
Preheat smoker to 335 degrees.
Add Olive oil to a pan, season your shrimp good with the cajun seasoning and cook them until you have a nice color on them and they are done.
Set aside 24 whole cooked shrimp and dice up the remaining shrimp.
In a bowl, add all of your cheeses, diced shrimp and enough cajun seasoning to your liking. Mix until well combined.
Stuff all of your jalapeños with the cheese and shrimp mixture and place on a wire rack.
Place your jalapeño poppers into the smoker and allow to cook for around 45 minutes. The last 5 minutes, place a whole shrimp onto each jalapeño popper to heat through.
Once they are done, remove from smoker, plate them up however you like and drizzle with Melinda’s Hot Honey.
Time to go in for that bite! Grab you one, dig in and enjoy!
Recipe Note
I drizzled half with hot honey and left it off of half for those that don't like spicy. However they hot honey ones were way better!
