Aight Guys!! As I stated earlier, jalapeño poppers are my jam! This recipe always seems to be a hit, so I figure I might as well share it with you guys and gals! So basically it's sausage, cream cheese and parmesan cheese stuffed into a sliced jalapeño and wrapped in bacon. Season em up and on the grill with a little hickory wood for smoke. Talk about a dance party in your mouth! Try these for your next get together and be the hit of the party!
Ingredients
-
12 Whole Jalapeños
-
1 Lb of Mild Breakfast Sausage
-
1 Block of softened Cream Cheese
-
1 ½ Cups of Shredded Parmesan Cheese
-
24 Slices of thin cut Bacon
-
Aight Guys!! Smokey Sweet Rub
-
Lane’s BBQ Sorta White Sauce
-
1 Green Onion sliced up for garnish
Directions
Get your grill fired up to 325 degrees and set up for indirect cooking.
Get you a skillet and brown up your breakfast sausage and get it as fine as you can get it. Once it is done, drain the grease from the pan and cut the burner off.
Next add your block of room temperature cream cheese and your parmesan cheese to the sausage and mix while the sausage and pan are still warm until everything is combined.
Take your whole jalapeños, cut the stem off, slice them in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds and membrane.
Now take the sausage and cheese mixture and stuff each jalapeño half. Once stuffed, wrap each individual jalapeño half with bacon.
Place jalapeño poppers on the grill and season with my Aight Guys!! Smokey Sweet Rub. Add a chunk of hickory wood in the grill for the smoke and allow to cook for about 45 minutes or until the bacon is rendered down and crispy.
Once they are done, bring em inside and plate em up however you like. Drizzle them with a little bit of Lane’s Sorta White Sauce, garnish with your green onions and dig in!

Recipe Note
If you like things more on the spicy side, you could substitute the mild sausage for hot and spicy and instead of removing the seeds and membranes from the jalapeños, leave em in there!
